TAILGATE 2009

Bill Losee # 361, founder and permanent chief organizer of the All Duke Beta Tailgate Party, cannot remember when this tradition began. He know it predates The Duke Beta newsletter, which first published in 1995, but that is about it. What he does remember is that it has never rained on the party and that Duke has never won the football game, i.e., until Saturday, October 24, 2009.

Duke won, beating Maryland. First time since 1994 that Duke has won two ACC games in a row. You can check the rain out for yourself in the pictures of the tailgate party in the Picture Gallery. The rain did not dampen anything whatsoever, big crowd, many new faces, and an expectation that as Duke football finally returns to its rightful place the All Duke Beta Tailgate Party will be even bigger and better in the future!
