Tom Todd # 314 writes: "It was nice to receive The Duke Beta again after a hiatus. I'M glad the university is helping to fund this adventure. It certainly will help until the Duke Beta chapter is up and running again. If there is anything that I can do to help up in Oxford let me know. I haven't seen the new web site yet but will shortly. I'm looking forward to Lake Lure in May 2011."
Joyce and Woody Furman # 356, and Jean and Bill Losee # 361, had multi-day visits two weeks apart in October and November, first in Durham and then in Hilton Head. Golf was involved in both places. Furman was kind enough to be farthest from the hole on the beer hole in Durham and bought the beers while Losee returned the favor in Hilton Head. Both couples have made reservations for Lake Lure in 2011.
John Swartz # 314 is pleased to announce that he is now worth right at 150,000,000,000,000 (150 trillion), having converted his previously somewhat meager net worth into Zimbabwean currency on a recent trip.He has since learned that the $3.00 he paid for two Zimbabwean bills was a gross overpayment and is now graciously offering to enrich another Duke Beta by selling the larger of the bills for a measly $10,000,000,000 in good U.S. funds.
